What’s behind door #1 or door #2?
Looking for architectural elements, I looked around the neighborhood, searching for an elements that reflected an earlier time. There are many buildings and shops built in the 1950’s in the area. I came across this old barbershop. When I walked around, I saw these two skinny doors and thought it was fascinating. The building has recently been sold and being remodeled to be a law office. There’s a story behind these twin doors.
Create a certain mood and communicate an idea that transcends its subject.
Last week, I went out to dinner at a local waterside restaurant. With camera in hand, I used the railing as a tripod and played around with the settings to capture a few night shots. It was nighttime, although the photo and the setting used made it light up. So fun to experiment and see new results. I love it! Oh, and I really love my boyfriend as he tolerates me taking photos pretty much everywhere we go.
In our hectic lives it’s all about standing out, grabbing attention however you can, be it online or in our day to day lives. We want to attract and connect with each other. We connect with our style, our brand, places, people and interests.
In today’s assignment, we were asked to portray connectedness. I frequently drive by this local strip center and it stands out with the various colors revealed on the various shops. Makes me want to stop in and see what’s inside.
