Living in South Florida, the seasons are a bit different. While most of the country is looking forward to the season so they can fly open the windows, put sandals on and do various outdoor activities, such as picnics, ball games, festivals and parades with all the fun and charm the summer brings, there’s a little less enthusiasm when you live here. Yes, Florida residents have all these activities and more! Many of them include stocking up on bug spray and hurricane supplies and retreating to the indoors during the hottest time of the day. Outdoor activities are limited, unless they include swimming in the pool or the beach to be performed in the early morning or evening hours.
It’s the time of year to get caught up on indoor chores, redecorating, painting and other things that inspire your inside environment. I love the summer here, just a change of pace for sure. Happy summer to all.
The setting itself is the star. This was photograph on a hot, humid summer morning. Humidity hung in the air like a wet blanket.
I had to keep putting the lens up to the fan in the car to de-fog it. It’s not a ‘land’ scape, but kind works as the setting being the star of the photograph
Playing with scale. At first, this task threw me for a loop. The more and more I thought about it, it became fun. I picked up my camera at the office today, and got inspired by what I saw. The size of the figurine against the framed poster I think captured the assignment.
Did I get it?
